Disney Revelation

October 27th, 2012.

You know what I just had a revelation about?

Disney.

People like disney because in this dark, sad, devestating time and place we live, Disney seems to not

only represent our childhood when we believed things to be simpler, and we had an innocence that

was not yet tainted by the place and the circumstance we lived in.

We loved Disney (And Still DO!) Because everything was so simple.

Everyone is a princess to someone, Everyone can make the right choice, and the good people (after a

few trials) eventually get the prize i.e. the kingdom, the girl, the guy, the crown, the adventures, etc....

and the bad guys, get what they've got coming!

The reason we as teenagers or adults, are still in love with Disney, is not because of the Characters

we love, or the amazing singers, the interesting (yet predictable) storylines, the Costumes,

the animations, the soundtracks. No, It's because we yearn for the childlike simplicity and belief that

everything will turn out ok in the end. The world keeps telling us that we have to be our own person,

and rebel against everything that we know, we must create our own identity. My question is, what's

wrong with being a princess? What's wrong with believing in Love? What's wrong, with treating

people with kindness and respect? When did treating people respectfully come to mean that you were

a pushover? If we wish we could be kids again when life was simpler, WHY don't we change our

mentality?  Why should we let everything be so "complicated?" And my last question....

Why can't we be a princess everyday?

So.... Go out.... and you Be a Disney Character! And ROCK IT!
